ABOUT THE BALSAMIC:
Our special Modena PGI Black Truffle Balsamic Vinegar (5 fl oz) is a thick, sweet and filled with REAL dried summer black truffles. This one of a kind balsamic combines the taste of barrel aged traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena, with the savory taste of gouda and is finished with the woody, chocolaty taste of summer black truffles. This earthy sweet flavor is delicious drizzled over salads, roasted vegetables, fruits and gourmet wraps and sandwiches. Or simply use it as a glaze for meats such as chicken, salmon, steak, pork, lamb and more. This balsamic is categorized as one of our gourmet holistic health products, as truffles are high in antioxidants and nutrients. Taste meets nutrition for the divinely inspired, in this truffle rich, out of this world creation. See the difference, taste the difference.
This one-of-a-kind truffle balsamic vinegar is flavored with all natural, simple and limited ingredients. It is PGI certified which means that it was made using the same methods, that date as far back as the 11th century in Emilia-Romagna Italy. These methods, commemorated in time and history are far superior to that of our mass produced counterparts and is among the finest of traditionally made balsamic vinegars. To follow the time honored tradition of superior craftsmanship, all of our balsamic vinegars are made with fresh freeze-dried fruits and vegetables; not preservative laden purees, juices or unnatural chemical extracts. The absence of water will ensure that it ages smoothly and more importantly, that it will taste even better as it ages and lock in the nutritional benefits! Without the water, all of our balsamic vinegars are non perishable, do not require refrigeration and are extremely flavorful. The ingredients in our Black Truffle Balsamic Vinegar are certified PGI traditional barrel aged balsamic vinegar of Modena, dried gouda and dried summer black truffles.
Every step of the way, we make sure to provide superior quality, to ensure we provide a healthy, quality product. We add our ingredients through the brand new and superior method of vacuum blending. Normally, blending in fruit or vegetables would cause oxidation. When you leave an apple out and exposed, it turns brown. This is oxidation. Oxygen much like water, can not only cause fruit to rapidly expire, but neutralizes the antioxidant activity. As our fruits are freeze-dried, expiration is not a concern, but we did want to make sure our superior nutritional profile was not hampered by oxidation. Vacuum blending also provides a profoundly more fresh and flavorful taste.
Our Modena PGI Black Truffle Balsamic Vinegar tastes great alone. When pairing it with an olive oil, we recommend our Shiitake Mushroom and Sage Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The two make an excellent combination.
