Normally, blending in fruit or vegetables would cause oxidation. When you leave an apple out and exposed, it turns brown. This is oxidation. Oxygen much like water, can not only cause fruit to rapidly expire without preservatives, but neutralizes the antioxidant activity. As our fruits are freeze-dried, expiration is not a concern, but we did want to make sure our superior nutritional profile was not hampered by oxidation. Vacuum blending also provides a profoundly more fresh and flavorful taste.
Our Hibiscus Balsamic Vinegar tastes great alone. When pairing it with an olive oil, we recommend our Orange Citrus Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
